Today, most fine diamonds are carefully evaluated prior to being set, by a respected laboratory such as gemological Institute Of America (GIA) or the European Gemological Laboratory (EGL).

The diamond grading report, or “certificate” both certifies the diamond as genuine as well as describes it in detail, providing such important information as color grade, clarity grade. carat weight, cut, proportions, polish, symmetry, etc.

Stein Diamonds carries thousands of certified diamonds

Every loose diamond sold by Stein Diamonds has been analyzed and graded by either the Gemological Institute of America (GIA), the European Gemological Laboratory , or the American Gem Society Laboratories (AGSL). Stein Diamonds works with these independent laboratories, as they are some of he most respected laboratories in the diamond industry. These laboratories are known for having the strictest, consistent, and unbiased systems for grading diamonds. Diamonds that are accomplished by these grading reports are most highly valued in the industry, as their quality is considered guaranteed.
