DIAMOND CLARITY |
Clarity is described as the presence and absence of flaws inside or on a diamond or other gemstone. The presence of flaws are called inclusions such as scratches, trace minerals or any other tiny characteristics that the diamond has. Imperfections on a diamond can detract from the pure beauty of a diamond.
Clarity grade has subtle effect on a diamond’s appearance if we are talking about small diamonds. Clarity matters if we are dealing with larger diamonds because the larger the diamond is, the larger the facets are which expands the visible clarity.
Number, size, color and location of inclusions or flaws in the stone determines clarity grade. A stone with no imperfections or flaws internally and externally when examined on a 10x magnification device is considered Flawless (FL).

TIP:
Regarrding diamond shapes, Asscher and Emerald shaped diamonds have step facets. Step Facet is a state where clarity maybe more visible in these cuts than other shapes. When you consider buying Asscher and Emerald shaped diamonds, we recommended choosing VS1 to ensure that there will be no visible inclusions.
EYE CLEAN is a term used when there are no inclusions/blemishes visible to the unaided eye from any view. |
