Any loose diamond purchased from Stein Diamonds can be exchanged for a credit towards a new diamond of at least 2x or greater in value. The diamond that is being upgraded must be in original condition and accompanied by the original laboratory-grading document.

To upgrade your diamond, you can send the diamond and original certificate to our Los Angeles office, and you will receive credit for the price for your diamond applied towards a new diamond purchase. There is no limit on the number of times you can upgrade your diamond and there is no restocking fee.

For example, if your original diamond was purchased for $3,500 and you would like to upgrade to a diamond which is $7,000, you only pay the difference of 3,500.00.

In some instances, a diamond may have incurred damage, through daily wear. We will accept the diamond back, deducting the cost of polishing and reshaping.
